Sealing Film
Sealing film is a sealing material used in conjunction with bacterial culture bottles. It is made of polypropylene (PP) and can withstand high temperatures of 121 ℃ and above (suitable for high pressure steam sterilization). The membrane body is made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) and is designed with billions of micropores. These micropores are 0.2~0.3 μm, which is about 700 times larger than air molecules, ensuring that the high-temperature resistant sealing film can closely fit the bottle mouth to form an effective seal, preventing the invasion of external pollutants, while retaining certain air permeability to maintain the gas circulation in the bottle and avoiding the imbalance of bacteria growth environment caused by sealing, it is especially suitable for long-term culture or large-scale experimental scenarios that require sterilization treatment to improve operation convenience and culture stability.
