Colour is a practical part of PCR tube selection when fluorescence detection is involved. It is not a substitute for checking the tube format, capacity and the requirements of the assay. In the current A-GEN 8-strip range, transparent and white tubes are both listed.
For transparent options, the current page lists PCR-0108H at 100 uL and PCR-0208H at 200 uL. For a white option, it lists PCR-0208H-W at 200 uL. The existing product-page FAQ recommends white tubes for qPCR, describing reduced signal interference and high fluorescence reflectance. That is product-page guidance, not a guarantee of a particular Ct value or assay result; the laboratory should continue to use its own validated method.
Before choosing a colour, confirm the format and nominal capacity required for the run. A white 200 uL 8-strip tube is not interchangeable with every 100 uL transparent strip simply because both are used for PCR. The product page and technical documentation should be checked for the exact catalogue number, especially where the tube must work with a specific instrument, cap arrangement or handling process.
