01 Post-Thaw Viability Assay: Preserving Cellular Vitality After Cryopreservation
Post-thaw cell viability is a core metric for evaluating the cryoprotective efficacy of a freezing medium, directly reflecting cellular tolerance throughout the entire freeze-thaw cycle. Insufficient protection during cryopreservation can easily induce apoptosis and a sharp decline in cell activity, severely impacting downstream culture and experimental outcomes. Consequently, this parameter is vital for cell banking and seed stock establishment. In this experiment, multiple parallel control groups were established to measure MSC viability post-thaw, providing a comprehensive assessment of the cryoprotective efficacy of A-GEN Cell Cryopreservation Medium.
Tested Conditions: Group 1: In-House Freezing Medium (70% Basal Medium + 20% FBS + 10% DMSO) Group 2: Imported Brand G Freezing Medium Group 3: Domestic Brand X Freezing Medium Group 4: A-GEN Cell Cryopreservation Medium Experimental Results: Cell viability across all groups was consistently maintained above 90%, with no significant differences observed. A-GEN Cell Cryopreservation Medium effectively shields cells against low-temperature damage during cryopreservation, minimizing cell death and preserving post-thaw cellular viability. |

02 Post-Thaw Attachment Rate Assay: Ensuring Recovery and Engraftment Growth
The post-thaw cell attachment rate reflects a cell's capacity for self-repair and growth re-establishment following cryoinjury. Even when post-thaw viability meets target specifications, severely damaged cells may still suffer from impaired attachment and delayed proliferation, leading to downstream culture failure. Consequently, attachment efficiency is an indispensable metric for assessing the overall performance of a cryopreservation medium. In this experiment, the post-thaw attachment rate of MSCs was evaluated to compare the ability of different freezing media to support damage repair and subsequent cell growth.
Tested Conditions: Group 1: In-House Freezing Medium (70% Basal Medium + 20% FBS + 10% DMSO) Group 2: Imported Brand G Freezing Medium Group 3: Domestic Brand X Freezing Medium Group 4: A-GEN Cell Cryopreservation Medium Experimental Results:The A-GEN group demonstrated excellent post-thaw attachment efficiency, performing on par with leading imported and domestic commercial brands. A-GEN Cell Cryopreservation Medium ensures smooth cell attachment and engraftment post-thaw, mitigating the risk of post-thaw growth arrest and facilitating rapid physiological recovery. This establishes a solid foundation for subsequent subculturing, expansion, and downstream cell-based assays. |
